Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Jennifer Glass and I am based in Indialantic, Florida. I have a Bachelors degree in Social Science and worked as an environmental lobbyist for several years. When i was 5 years old, my father was the editor of the Today newspaper and would take me to work with him. I always gravitated to the photojournalists. I would spend hours in the darkroom watching them making prints, learning about cameras, or even sometimes running out with them to take photos. When he moved to San Diego and worked for the San Diego Union, I did the same thing. i was accepted into the National Art Honor Society at age 15. I studied photography at the Art Institutes of Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale and extensively with Mary Ellen Mark in New York. I officially opened my Portrait studio in 1994. The majority of my career has been spent photographing families and children, as well as creating fine art images for exhibition in museums and galleries. My passion is working with people. Everyone has something beautiful and unique about them and i love bringing that out with my camera.
My work has been collected and exhibited worldwide. Some of these include:
Sir Elton John
Arthur Blank
Ritz Carlton
St. Regis
Four Seasons
Atlantis Bahamas
Conrad Hilton
Canyon Ranch
Parrish Medical
Museum of art and Science California
Jackson Fine Art Atlanta
My portraits are classically inspired with a timeless quality to them, they're often influenced under the 19th century photographers Edward Steichen and Alfred Steiglitz, as well as the Dutch Golden Age artists Johannes Vermeer and 16th century Spanish Baroque master Diego Velazquez. My work and training is rooted in traditional film and chemisty processes from the 1800's
